Strategic Healthcare Leadership and Change Management (Hospitals)

(Hospitals) Lead transformation, manage resistance, and combat transformation fatigue across the new Saudi health clusters.

Last updated: November 2026

Course Description

(Hospitals) The velocity of Saudi healthcare transformation, spanning corporatization, privatization that is transferring nearly 290 hospitals to external management, digitalization mandates, and a new Model of Care, generates organizational friction that manifests as transformation fatigue among the Kingdom's 800,000 healthcare workers. Structured change management is critical to overcoming these barriers without disrupting clinical operations. Tailored for physician leaders, department heads, and mid-to-senior managers, this program focuses on the organizational psychology of managing resistance, multidisciplinary problem-solving, and cross-functional communication during periods of crisis and rapid change. Participants build a practical toolkit of change frameworks, stakeholder-mapping methods, and communication strategies calibrated to the realities of the new clusters. The curriculum develops strategic foresight, rapid decision-making under uncertainty, and the emotional intelligence required to keep teams engaged through sustained disruption. Through case studies drawn from the Health Sector Transformation Program, leaders learn to diagnose resistance, design phased change plans, and protect clinical continuity throughout. By the end, participants can build the institutional resilience needed to execute Vision 2030 objectives at the departmental level while sustaining workforce morale and operational performance.
