Digital Health Transformation and EHRS Optimization (Hospitals)

(Hospitals) Despite the national push toward a digital health economy, research identifies digital transformation gaps, legacy software integration issues, and basic IT infrastructure limitations as pressing concerns among hospital staff. These gaps contrast sharply with flagship initiatives such as the SEHA Virtual Hospital, the largest of its kind globally, which connects over 150 physical hospitals and provides more than 30 specialized services remotely. This course guides IT directors, health informatics specialists, and system administrators through executing large-scale digital transformations in analog or resource-constrained environments. Participants learn to align local IT infrastructure with national digital mandates and to ensure legacy Electronic Health-Record Systems are interoperable with national registries via HL7 FHIR R4 extensions. The curriculum covers infrastructure assessment, data-migration strategy, integration architecture, cybersecurity, and clinical-decision-support continuity. A central theme is preventing revenue-halting NPHIES connectivity failures by hardening the interfaces between EHRS and the national platform. Through applied labs and architecture exercises, participants build a transformation roadmap that secures patient-data integrity and sustains continuous decision support across the 20-cluster network. By the end, IT leaders can plan and govern an EHRS optimization program that survives real-world constraints and national compliance demands.
